Metabolic Disorders in Adults and Children
We work with an existing medical treatment plan or offer an independent plan based on the specific conditions. Type 2 diabetes, which was formerly called adult onset, is now occurring in children younger than 10 years of age. This is a health crisis and should be taken as seriously as cancer. Type 2 diabetes shortens the life span significantly and decreases the quality of life. Most overweight or obese adults are walking around with type 2 diabetes or are classified as pre-diabetic and don’t even realize it. This further hinders the ability to lose weight and slows the metabolism, making the metabolic issues worse. We want to identify those who are insulin resistant and prevent the development of type 2 diabetes. The HGB A1C is the typical gold standard in traditional medicine which provides an estimated blood glucose average over the course of 3 months. Unfortunately, this is a late finding and does not adequately assess insulin resistance. We will work to address the root cause of the metabolic disorder and create a plan that actually works and has lifelong results.
